Where do I start? How about with the fact that this family has a special place in my heart! Stacey hired me to photograph her daughter’s senior portrait on Martha's Vineyard this last summer. She was so appreciative of the results that she decided to hire me as her wedding photographer. Hiring a photographer can be an intimate process for some people, and when done right at some point during the photo session you feel like you are part of the family. My primary goal is always to establish trust and connection between the photographed subject and the photographer. I think it's essential and It can be a secret ingredient for beautiful wedding photographs.
The wedding took place in Saratoga Springs, New York. We arrived a day before the big event and started scouting the wedding location. I fell in love with this city. Saratoga is well known for its horse races, mineral baths and spas such as the Roosevelt Bathhouse & Spa, as well as lake and forest parks, and it’s a very popular wedding destination. I haven’t seen this city in the summertime, but the fall colors were magnificent.
The preparation was filled with laughter brought forth by the groom's outstanding sense of humor. The ceremony and reception took place at the Longfellow Hotel & Restaurant, and it was a stunning experience. The groom asked the bride’s daughters for permission to marry their mother, and with tears of joy he was given it, and they were married on a bridge over a small pond. The lovely night of celebration ended with many meaningful toasts impressive dances. You can see in the photographs how much love, excitement, and joy this family shares with the world.
