Edgartown Lighthouse & South Beach in Katama
The Edgartown Lighthouse Harbor is one of the most popular locations for a surprise proposal on Martha's Vineyard. Benjamin planned a distinctive winter proposal, and the golden hour light this time of year has magic to it! On the day of the proposal, I decided that it would be best to drive to the South Beach in Katama to see the sun setting in the ocean towards the end of the session. Instead of celebrating the sunset with a clap, as they often do at Menemsha Beach in Chilmark, Benjamin and Jogan popped the champagne to celebrate the special day and all the love they have for each other.
I focused on telling the story, and not just that of the proposal moment. The images show the emotions and feeling as they evolved and experienced them throughout the evening. The photos have already turned into an unforgettable memory as I write this blog post. While I was driving on the way home after the session, all I could feel was how happy I was for them and how grateful I am to capture memories for so many kind and beautiful couples.
